TinkerFest is a one-day festival that brings together makers, artisans, and tinkerers to showcase a craft, skill, or product while encouraging participation with museum visitors. Through hands-on activities, and engaging conversations, visitors learn the tools, techniques, and creativity of craftsman from Arkansas and beyond. Stations invite visitors to discover “making” in a new way. Some makers will be reusing, reclaiming, and reconstructing old materials in a new way; others will be showing a new product that will be a first-hand opportunity for visitors to interact with. From lock-picking, Arduino, and soldering to cigar-box guitars, sewing circuits and jewelry-making from junk, TinkerFest is a place for everyone. TinkerFest events take place at partner museums across the state.
